Program and drivers using nvidia card when they are not supposed to.

Hi,

I recently installed windows 7 on my laptop, an Msi gt60. ( The laptop came with windows 8)

I know how nvidia optimus work and how to make my games use the nvidia card ect. But the problem is that the nvidia card is always on because KLM (keyboard light manager) from msi is always using it even if i chosed the integreted graphic in the nvidia control panel. Same thing with razer synapse. Is theire a way to resolve this issue?

I have an MSI GT70 and have installed Windows 7 instead of Windows 8 on it and have run into the same issue and solved it.

You can easily set programs to use the integrated card using the Nvidia Control Panel.

Go to 3D Settings->Manage 3D settings

Then in the Program Settings tab add the exe you want to change graphics processors for, in your case browse to the KLM exe, usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\KLM\KLM.exe"

Once you've got your exe added, select it from the dropdown and then select "Integrated graphics" from the second dropdown.

Save that, restart the exe, and all should be good.
