I Would Like To Move To Canada. I Have A Few Questions.

I would like to move to Canada sometime in the future. Would I need a work visa to live their and then have to live their so long to apply for citizenship. I am okay with a work visa requiring me to work their for a certain amount of time before applying for citizenship, or does a work visa require you to be employed from someone in your original country (US in my case). I did some research on this and Its all just overwhelming and frustrating. If someone could just give me a good short straight answer that gives the correct information that would be awesome. You may reply with links if you so wish, but I'd prefer a straight answer.

That was my original plan, I had people tell me that my dream was impossable. Im not sure if those people just hated Americans, or what. But those people like put me in bed for like a week from busting my dreams.

Short answer,

Yes you would need a work permit to work/live here.. and yes you would need to live here a certain amount of time( among other things)

Guessing you read through this?
