Hi Everyone

Just wanted to get some of you guys input in what 27" monitor I could buy. BTW I'm going to be using this monitor for multiple thing such as gaming, video editing and also console gaming.

So far I've come across these few monitors that interest me and I'm not willing to spend more than £280 for a good quality monitor.

Check the links for the monitors I've checked out already.

My advice, don't get a 1080p 27 inch monitor. The pixels count will be low and things will look fuzzy. Get a 27 inch 1440p monitor, if you can't afford a 1440p get a 24 inch 1920 x 1200 monitor, it's the perfect size and resolution,

i would probably go for the Asus monitor.

But if I my make a suggestion a 27" monitor at 1080p doesn't have very good ppi. So when sitting close to it you will notice the pixels on the screen. I believe that if you get a 27" monitor it is better for it to be 2560x1440.

I bought a 27" Samsung 1920x1080 and while playing games I was able to see the pixels on the screen. It really bothered me but on my 23" Acer (1920x1080) this was not noticeable at all. As well as my Asus PB278Q you don't notice any pixels at all.

Get a Korean 1440p panel on eBay, they are usually around 300

If you're a 'pro' gamer go 120hz, get an IPS for pleasure. I recommend going 23" because that's the sweet spot for 1080p.

i5 4670k | Sapphire 7950 | Kingston 120GB SSD | Seagate 1TB | G.Skill Ripjaw X Series 8GB

PB238Q | Steelseries Sensei | Ducky DK9087 | Qck Heavy

See lol I already have a 24" 1080p Samsung Monitor I really wanted something a bit bigger since when watching movies nd stuff I don't like to sit close to the screen that's really kind of the reason I'm looking to upgrade to a 27"

See the only thing about buying one of them from Korea they aren't guaranteed to be fully funcional and may have dead pixels

Yamakashi ships tested models with no dead pixel guarantee.

If you don't sit too closely or have fighter pilot eyesight, 1080p on a 27" monitor isn't as bad as people say, unless the images are standing still and you are looking for those pixels. It's like one of those things that you won't notice unless you specifically look for it. You will be able to tell a difference in sharpness between a 1080p and a 1440p, but if it's going to be that much more expensive, use your better judgement and ask yourself if the sharper image is going to be worth the extra cost. Also keep in mind that as the resolution goes up, your frame rates go down. You will be losing some performance with 1440p compared to 1080p, so if you like to play your games maxed out, I hope you have an above average graphics card.

It really comes down to matter of opinion. What may appear fuzzy to one person could be ultra sharp to another. It's best to try a 27" 1080p monitor in person so you know what to expect, because 27" is quite a bit of monitor. But in the end, you'll never get around the fact that 1440p WILL cost more, in terms of money and frame rates.
