Moto X To Cost $575 for the 16GB and $630 for the 32GB Off-Contract/Has Locked Bootloader

We already know that the Moto X is going to cost $199 and $249 on-contract for the 16GB and 32GB versions. We are learning now that, at least for AT&T, the device will cost $575 for the 16GB and $630 for the 32GB off-contract. That’s definitely not “Nexus pricing”. We had heard many rumors that the Moto X would be priced competitively, which this doesn’t look very competitive with other mid-rangers. We also had heard that the 16GB version would be $299 and the 32GB for $349 unlocked. Which definitely seems to not be the case. As the off-contract pricing is starting at $575. It really changes our whole perspective on this device. We though the Moto X would be a device with mid-range specs but have an extremely low price tag. Looks like we were wrong.

One piece of bad news to share about Motorola’s new Moto X phone — the flagship handset will ship with a locked bootloader. According to Droid-Life, Motorola confirmed that the bootloader is “not unlocked.” This revelation may be disappointing but not surprising since the phone is headed to a bunch of carriers and their walled gardens.

I think it's a little expensive for mid range spec phone.

The S4 pro is still a very good cpu, the thing that lets it down is the dual core, most people cant notice the difference with normal use between 1.5ghz and 1.7ghz

That's unfortunate.  I mean really, it's basically a Nexus 4 in a new shell.  They couldn't have been a little more reasonable?

its actually got a dual core cpu and a quad core gpu, could provide for interesting benchmarks. Not to mention a little more menu speed < battery life.
