nixter1029

So, I have Windows 8.1 Pro and was wondering if I use this to get the ISO and do a fresh install if I can use my Windows 8.1 Pro Product key.

If you have 8.1 Pro key, you can get Windows 10 Pro.

Yes, I understand that, but I want to do a fresh install. If I get the ISO, how do I get my Windows 10 Product Key?

Why would you get screwed? If win 10 rejects your 8.1 key then just install 8.1 with your key and upgrade to 10 from there.

This is what you have to do anyways, actually. After upgrading from 8.1 to 10 you can then do another clean install of 10, skip the key entry and it should activate itself.

When I upgraded my laptop I just specified that I wanted no files to move over on the upgrade.. wouldn't that work as well?

edit: Errmm, it appears that my laptop isn't activated...
