Is it worth investing $10,000 in Bitcoin?

1 bitcoin is roughly $296 USD as of today. And I wonder if that price would ever go back up. It did from $100, and investing in 10k, would it be wise? Who else invested in buying Bitcoins? I am thinking about selling my services for bitcoin also.

ummm... no. It is too risky, especially if you are thinking 10k. investing maybe 1-3grand wouldn't be a horrible idea just incase it does skyrocket again(it most likely wont unless somthing inconceivable happens.)

I used to invest into bitcoin. I still have 2 grand of the 14grand total, still invested. But Yea I sold mine most of what I had, made a decent profit and have moved onto different things. (invested a decent sum in AMD, hoping when they release there new CPU it will go up, will see what happens!) 

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

GO FOR IT!!! Whats life without gambling a bit of money. I mined an alt coin for a year and now I got .1 bitcoin and turned it to USD when it jumped to $316 a week back.

How "high end" of a rig do you possibly need to get a bit coin? What if Linus tried to mine a bit coin with 36 cores and the Titan X?

i don't even think it would be profitable for him at this point.

Ehh...OpenCL sucks on Nvidia cards so you can't do much with a Titan X.......AMD would have better performance.

You need ASIC's, they are basically computers that are only designed with one thing in mind, mining. They're hundreds of times faster than current consumer GPU's and stuff last I checked.
