Can't delete file from CD on Manjaro Linux

Hey everyone,

I just did a fresh install of Manjaro Linux. I have an old CD in the laptop, and the only thing on it is an installer for malwarebytes (mbamsetup). The thing is, when I go to delete that file, the delete option is greyed out. When I try to open it, there is a little lock symbol on the icon, and I get an error. The CD mounts at /run/media/[username]/[label of cd] automatically. I tried to switch to root and then open/delete it, but when I am root the icon for the CD doesn't appear on the desktop.

    Can anyone help? Thank you!

Its a CD you cant delete or add more data to a CD after it has been burned.  The only way that can be done is with a CD-RW (re-writable) disk.

You could change that but only when writing the cd, when you burn files you would chose to NOT verify the disk that would allow you to delete and add files, but if you didn't do that when you burned the disk then you are out of luck

Oh, so its not a problem with permissions or anything? This laptop is actually my friend's dad's, so I don't know why he had a cd with only an installer on it.

The company has it set to read only, or the cd is not a re-writable one.
