How to unlock FPS lock in GTA V?

TristanK
Go to solution Solved by You_are_a_cunt,

most likely vsync turned on.

If your monitor is capped at 60Hz all extra frames become irrelevant past 60 and you'll just get tearing and all sorts of nasty D:

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can explain to me how I can unlock the fps limit. I always have 60FPS and I want to see what my gpu is capable of, but i really have no idea how to unlock the limit.

My PC specs are in my signature if anyone is wondering

I think your display only has 60hz? That means you can only get 60fps diplayed

This isn't really relevant for a game like GTA 5 but even with a 60Hz monitor if you can keep your FPS stable at 120fps or above you should notice less input lag and as long as it is not fluctuating heavily you won't get much noticeable tearing either.
