Sapphire dual-X vs reference cooler AMD

Guest

Hey everyone, I can get the 7870 reference card and the sapphire dual-X card for the same price, both with the neversettle offer. I love the reference cooler and was wondering what kind of a cooling performance difference there is between the two coolers and if this difference is worth the kick-ass look of the card.

Well i'm no expert but my sapphire dual-x 7870 is running at 31 degrees celcius at idle right now.

You could also try and google the benchmarks for that card and a reference card to see the sound and temps for the two cards.

thank you guys for the quick answer, I hadn't thought about coil whine, which I hate. I will be overclocking so... better with two fans I guess. All I needed was a few recommendations, thanks again.

people are allways concidering buyiong a card with a reference cooler.

just dont do it.

They liturally sound like vacuum cleaners in-game. only buy these card because they are so cheap and always compatible with waterblocks.

I agree the only reason for buying a reference card when there are better air cooled ones that are out there is if you are going to strap a water block to it and send it to the moon. In terms of overclocking that is.
