All I know is at some point I had a lvl 99 wurmple because I put it in the day care until the end of the game. My friend was greatly amused by this.

Didn't really keep track of the pokemon games I've played. Other than silver, which I played to death. (I know I did have that wurmple in something though)

Did the same thing by leaving a Marill in the Daycare until I beat the Pokemon League in Sapphire.

It was ~Level 90 when I got back, and I evolved it into an Azumarill and wrecked everything.

I did that early on in my first playthrough. Then, when I realized that wasn't gonna work I started training my team evenly.

as a kid I was apparently retarded (shocker!), because when I played Pokemon Red when I was 4 or something, I didn't know I could catch other Pokemons and survived until Gym 5, when someone explained multiple Pokemon in a party to me..

So yeah, my Charizard was pretty OP

I did that in Sapphire on my first playthrough and had a Level 87 Blaziken by the end of it all.  Steven never stood a chance.

Worked for me through the majority of silver/gold (I beat silver, got bored with gold by the time I got to the final four) with my Cyndaquil.

Nice. you ever run into the thing where a daycare pokemon can cost more money than you can actually have? (not sure if that's still possible)

Oh, this reminds me. Back in Ruby, I grinded my entire party to level 100 after I got stuck on the last Maxie battle, before Groudon gets awakened. It worked and the rest of the game stood no chance against me.

Now then, back to grinding Vaporeon while I wait for this game to install.

However, in the current-gen games they've made it so that Experience Points scale with your Pokemon's level.  You earn less and less experience points the higher your level is compared to the opposing Pokemon's level.

So making a Pokemon "team" out of one Pokemon is made far more difficult.

Yes.

Once I wanted to level my Pokemon overnight, so I put it in the day care, went to some Rocket hideout, put something on the up button so it stayed clicked in and I made my character walk into one of these:

kETyJi9.png

So I walked up and onto this thing and went down, up again, etc.

(and Pokemons in Day care get experience from you walking around) so it went to level 100 overnight and I didn't have enough money to get it out until the Elite Four or something

Yeah, I've actually had that happen while I was breeding tournament Pokemon using the daycare.

Paying for all the levels your Pokemon gained through the process of hatching eggs tends to add up pretty fast lol

Edit: Oh wait, more money than you can physically have on you at one time?  I don't think that's possible now that I think about it.

Hey guys, where's the best place in ORAS to grind past level 40? Because EXP yields from Pokémon in Victory Road is starting to go down.

I usually just run back and forth through these routes in this order: Verdanturf Town, Route 117, Mauville City, Route 118.  Ride the Mach Bike back and forth there and rematch as many trainers as possible.

Trainers also give much higher Exp. yields than wild Pokemon, and these are the trainers that will rematch you:

  • Guy Riding a bike up by the daycare.
  • Couple with the Hariyama and Linoone beneath the biking dude.
  • Aroma Lady on Route 118
  • Guitarist Dalton on Route 118

They will often rematch you over and over again if you continuously go from one area to the next.

It's also a great grinding and breeding spot with the Daycare nearby as well.

I've got mine at the Secret Meadow, it's the one on top.  I have collected over 1000 flags so far and I'm honestly quite pissed that I had to go through all of that just for the Garchompite.
