I got Pokémon Platinum on my 6th birthday from my grandma. I rejected by saying "It looks hard" (Again, I was 6 :P). I gave it to my sister and about two months later she taught me how to play it. The starter she chose was Piplup. I thought it was fun, but the one thing my sister kept on forgetting to do was to save the game, so she was stuck in Jubilife City for two months :P. I kept playing, without even deleting my sister's save, and I eventually did beat the champion... under my sister's name. To this day, it is STILL under her name, and I'm not changing that. Pokémon Platinum is my favorite Pokémon game overall. If you want a good story, I recommend Platinum. If you want a fair introduction to Pokémon, go with 1st gen games.

If you're wondering what games I have: Fire Red, Emerald, Platinum, Diamond, Black, Black 2, Y and Omega Ruby.

Some spinoffs: Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, Battle Revolution, and Poképark.

I also used to be interested in Pokémon hacks (Reign of Legends, anyone?)

I got into Pokemon in 5th grade. I got Pokemon Blue for my birthday. I did have some of the cards. I kept the foils in a binder that's in my basement now. Unfortunately that was the only game of the series that I actually have. I don't count Pokemon Stadium and Snap for the N64 as part of the series. To be honest, I don't know how many Pokemon there are anymore. I know all of Gen 1, and some of Gen 2.

I remember thinking when I was young; wouldn't it be cool if Pokemon were real? I was thinking, Bulbasaur could take care of the lawn, Squirtle could provide water, Charmander could provide heat, Pikachu could provide electricity, and Growlithe could provide protection. Then nobody would have any utility bills, lol.

  1. There are now 721 Pokémon, the last of which have yet to be revealed.
  2. But Pokémon has 3-foot-tall bees.

I should breed and train some Pokemons, I really want to get better at battling :(

But we should organize some FFA battle some time, those look really fun

Clear sleeves or with some sort of print on it?

EDIT: saw most of them come with a print.

But this box: http://www.amazon.com/Pok%C3%A9mon-Trading-Card-Game-Trainer/dp/B00RW36O3U/ref=pd_sim_21_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=0FYVWW4GVMH0M0GM5RKA comes with a few packs too?

What are some good sleeve packs, without any cards with it?

I don't think I ever had card sleeves when I collected cards. I had those big binder things, though.
