Ill play soul silver thats the one I played a few times. It was on my friends DS and we were in the starter town and went into the bushes and saw a wild entai xD He didnt even have great balls iirc. Its was so funny we just ran

Yeah. I think soul silver and platinum and by a long way the best. Gen5 was horribly short and way too easy, and I didn't play much after that. The one thing that irked about gen4 was to unlock the road to the electric gym you had to do... Something (pretty sure it was catching the legendary, can't remember though) but you had no way of knowing what to do. I got stuck for 2 weeks just trying to figure out what to do.

Really? It was just going to the light house after you talked to somebody. And I liked Gen. 5. Black was amazing.

To be fair I was 10 :P

I played white. I just think it went way too quick, it was too easy. The elites where so early on and the map was way too linear.

I finally beat Steven. Basically how I beat the Metagross, is I would just keep on reviving my Pokémon and once it started to use Hyper Beam I could do one attack and beat it like that.

Well in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire he was kinda easy because of the EXP. Share and mega evolution.

The Ranger games are quite fun to be honest, although I never got too far in Almia because the novelty of the series wore off during the first one for me.

Garchomp maybe?

Oh and I remember some fights in the Ranger games being quite hard, like Charizard or Flygon in the original. I heard Darkrai in Almia was also difficult.

Feel old yet?

I was just pointing out that, at least to me, it's still fresh in my memories, the release of Diamond and Pearl. Thus 10 years feels like a long time..

The earliest Pokémon commercials I remember are from X D Gale of Darkness, I saw those in a magazine I was subscribed too. I didn't have a GBA or GameCube at the time though, so never played any of the 3rd gen games when they came out

I still remember all the hype surrounding Diamond and Pearl prior to its US release. Speaking of which, the 10th anniversary of that release is next year.

I got Pokemon Heartgold for a fair price(not as high as ebay)...but just cartridge only.

Wondering if it's worth playing without the pokewalker...

It is. The PokeWalker is a novel concept, but it isn't something you need for the game.

the PokéWalker is neat, but far from nescecary. I played through most of the game without using it, although I did use it a lot after I finished the game.
