Don't bother using GeForce Experience. It's a load of bullcrap. Download the Nvidia driver off of Nvidia's website.

What method are you using to download the drivers?

I find GFE an excellent way to record videos.

I love the DVR feature of Shadowplay. You never have to worry about losing footage and now it can run without GeForce Experience running.

I agree, I have a 250 megabit per second download speed connection and I'm downloading a 400 MB file and it has two hours and 10 minutes to go and when I run a speed test I'm connecting and downloading at 218 megabits per second, Nvidia servers are shit and trying through the GPE is worse.

I agree, I know this post is a year old but it's 2018 and I have a 256 megabit blastpro connection do Xfinity and I'm downloading a 400 GB driver and it says 2 hours and 22 minutes left and it's downloading it 78 kilobytes a second which is ridiculous. I checked my speedtest.net connection while I was downloading and it maxed out at 238 megabits so it's definitely crappy servers and the Nvidia experience is actually worse it told me it was going to take 3 hours and 18 minutes what a bunch of crap Nvidia needs to get there downloads figure it out or upgrade their bandwidth cuz this is bullshit for all the money they made on the crypto miners buying graphics cards at eight hundred bucks a pop they can at least upgrade their damn servers. This is unfucking called for

@Faslane1969 try techpowerup.com . I just downloaded the latest nvidia driver there and it seems legit. You can choose from where server it will be downloaded. I just chose the lowest server load. I downloaded it at my normal speed.

I've always installed nVidia drivers without GFE because it's a load of crap, to make matter worse, for those wanting to use DLSS, they MUST install GFE.....for me, it's forcing me to install GFE just so I can use it. I don't care for being coerced into installing any software I don't wish to use, nor want anything to do with. Fortunately, I don't use DLSS, and from what I've gathered, Ray Tracing doesn't require GFE.....if it does, I don't think I'll keep my RTX 2080 Ti.

BTW, I've always downloaded my nVidia drivers guru3d, it's the full nVidia driver and GFE package, but I've always chosen to install driver only, without the GFE nonsense...
