Watching Linus video on a ghetto shield got me thinking what have the community ghetto'd over the years.

 

Well here's mine.

 

Recently built a mostly new pc but had to use the power pack off my old rig (don't ask!). In the process I decided the power pack needed cleaning. The fan however was disgusting and so i attempted to remove it. However there was some amber coloured gluey gunk over the connector and in my attempts to remove it I broke the fan connector.

 

So to fix this I took the rear 80mm fan from the corsair 650D case I got. Screwed this into the power pack and ran the wire out of the pack and into one of the bottom holes for cable management and hooked it upto the in built fan controller.

 

So what have you Ghetto fixed or made?

controlling 3 fans with cpu fan header all connected ghetto with molex connectors ( it works just like i wanted it to be...)

I have seen one before but it was an abomination. How the board wasn't shorting was beyond me (we are talking HDD resting on an angle against the mobo).

Well, how about an intel core 2 duo 1,8ghz with integrated graphics and 2,5GB ddr2 ram? It's awesome! Runs Crysis 3 at 1fps. No just kidding it can't even run it at all... Not even close LOL

The current build im using, im using a dell motherboard, everything is fine apart from the front IO switch, as a result the zalman power button doesnt work, i had to rip the button out of dell and not i have a shitty little dell power button hanging out of my case, it looks like shit.
