That'll put some price pressure on the 390X.

Whoever bought a Titan X got ripped off, with the $350 extra cost for a 3 month head start.

Well, damn, Linus. Freaked me out man.

I'd just put my laundry on, come back upstairs and watched this video.

It was only 8 minutes long, but yea, you caught me!

The 980Ti looks nice, but sadly not even anywhere close to my price range atm.

Not sure if my 980 sli setup is terrible and i need to buy these or wait for next gen titan.... :(

Can't believe I was itching to replace my 980s with the Titan X, personally I'm upgrading as soon as I can sell off my 980s.

Titan X is probably more throttled by nVidia's restrictions than what the 980 Ti is. And well, heat. That extra memory brings some extra limitations.

You can remember the GTX 780 clocking much higher after nVidia took out some of the restrictions to make it more competitive against the AMD R9 lineup.

Titan X is now a card for 3D-rendering, for gaming, there's really no contest - especially when the versions with custom coolers come out.

I don't really get what he is saying. Is the 980 Ti worth it or not? (yes I watched the whole thing but I still don't understand whether he was saying not to get it or not.)

AMD has yet to learn the golden rule: JUST RELEASE YOUR SHIT.

AMD in 9 months didn't even have an answer to the 980 or 970,

The 290x does a pretty decent job at competing with them, to be honest.

They should have just immediately rebadged it though with a 10% overclock and laughed their way to the bank.

Completely unrelated, Anyone interested in a 970?!

How much? I'm looking at a 960 ATM, but would definitely enjoy the upgrade if it dropped into the $200 range (even the high 200s...)

Hmm yea the GPU card is pretty and it's affordable and all... will probably buy one as soon as aftermarket cooler launches...

BUT does anyone noticed that linus's neck got redder and redder as video goes on?... I might be tired and unable to focus but man... that just distracted me... missed half of the things he said...

I noticed that. Thought his neck was gonna explode. lol

The feels indeed, at least you didn't blow $1000 on a Titan X, you know, so you wouldn't feel bad AND have ~$350 less money in your bank account

So really as Linus said, it's pretty much "Do I want a 970 or a 980Ti?"  I can't see anyone buying a 980 or a Titan X after this card.

Time to sell my 970. Thing is, I don't want to be without a good gpu for such a long time. Ugh.

It really hurts to see so much  money leave a bank account though. Makes me feel like I'm wasting money. I think I'm going to just not put it in about $100 my bank account over time and see where that lands me.

I already started doubling hours for the past two weeks in anticipation.

indeed, i have been putting off buying a new GPU for a few weeks now. Running a 4790K with a R7 260x during that time has not been very eye pleasing. lol
