My thoughts, 

 

It's good. obviously. It's going to leave the Titan X's in the dust (during gameplay predominantly)

 

and the price to performance in comparison to the Titan X will leave the Titan X's gathering dust on the shelves of retailers.

I am so glad i never rushed out to buy TitanX's.... because a ref 980ti OC can beat it and often beat 295x2 :)

EDIT: NEVERMIND testing was done at 1440p and lower... Not going to show differences there. Still 11/12 of a titan x for 60% of the price is sick.

Why would it?  Less CUDA cores and same clockspeeds does not maketh a faster card.

Nope Lighting or nothing for me Classy can SMD since EVGA will pull the same shit as with the 980 and release a KPE in like a month before blocks are out for it.

seems like a repeat of the original titan and 780, where nvidia optimized drivers to make the 780 perform better in games. Obviously this time around the 980ti is weaker on paper compared to the titanX, so its a lot more obvious. still though, I'm sure titanX owners will justify their purchase.

IDK i found my classy to be much easier to use than the lightning I had, in terms of overvolting and stuff. Just seems more user friendly

i think it's more-so that they didn't want the hype train to die before releasing it, better to release it when everyone is talking about it then to wait for your competitor to release something and have you lose all your free advertisement.

You don't get double precision or any of the previous titan features in the Titan X.

 

They still have a faster card with more VRAM though, still a good buy in my eyes.

May just pick an EVGA 980 Ti hybrid card and say screw the Titan X. At this price point, I'll be able to SLI once I go 4K. $650 bucks for basically a Titan X makes this practically a steal.
