Is overclocking a I7 970 worth it?

I tried increasing the IOH to 1.25v, RAM to 1.55v,cpu and qpi to 1.3v for a 200x20 and it still fails like clockwork at 12 minutes. I guess this chip really can't handle 4Ghz but it doesn't make since to me it could need that much more voltage and tweaking coming from 3.8Ghz.
