Honoka knows his classmate Ayaka is talented in both the pen and the sword, attractive in face and figure, and that everyone at school calls her the Princess. When he gets himself involved in the "Witch of the Tower" incident one day after school, however, he learns she is also a witch sent to protect him. From then on, his ordinary school life is completely turned upside down, as he discovers that most of his classmates are not what they seem.

In the Warring States Period of ancient China (475-221 BCE), Shin and Hyou are war-orphans in the kingdom of Qin. They dream of one day proving themselves on the battlefield. One day, however, Hyou is taken to the palace by a minister. Winding up on the losing side of a power-struggle, Hyou manages to return to the village, barely alive. Shin then meets a boy who closely resembles Hyou, Ei Sei. For now he is the king of Qin; later he will become the emperor Shi Huangdi.

Kyoko followed her true love and childhood friend Sho to Tokyo so she could help him reach his dream of becoming an idol. She cleans, cooks, works three jobs and does nothing for herself because she loves him so much, but gets nothing in return. Still, she remains by his side. But then one day she goes unannounced to his agency with a delivery, and overhears him talking about her; he reveals to his manager that he only took her with him as a maid, and that he doesn't care for her at all. Upon hearing this, Kyoko doesn't just sit around and cry. She cuts and dyes her hair, changes her clothes and attitude and thus begins her journey to join showbiz and have her revenge against Sho.

Sousuke Sagara, a seventeen year old military specialist working for the secret organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest "Whispered" candidate Kaname Chidori. To complete this task Sousuke will have to deal with enemies from his past as well as the occasional panty thief. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn't only protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield.

Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high school student, content to live out a relatively normal life as any other does, is persuaded by his classmate, Akito Takagi, to become an aspiring mangaka when the latter realizes his natural talent as an artist. However, Moritaka is reluctant to pursue his dream as his uncle, once a mangaka with his own serializations, died from overwork trying to regain his lost status. With Akito's help, Takagi gets another classmate and his school crush, Azuki Miho, who is an aspiring voice actress, to voice in the anime adaptation of their future manga once it is completed. However, Mashiro also proposes to Azuki, who surprisingly accepts only on the condition she will marry him when both of them have achieved their dreams. With a goal set before him, Mashiro begins a long and struggling path to become a famous mangaka.

Well, Bakuman it is I actually didn't watch the anime, but i really liked the manga (though it could've used one more chapter)

 

Also planning on reading Kingdom and Skip Beat (i actually have been planning on reading SB for a pretty long time)

Witch Craft Works is the only one on the list that I haven't watched yet so my vote goes for it. Seriously though, why does kingdom have zero votes? It's a pretty enjoyable anime.

Manga for Bakuman is absolutely amazing!!! ...but the anime on the other hand is the worst adaption I have ever seen. Character designs are poor, voices do not fit at all and they chopped out an entire arc to finish in three seasons.

wouldn't recommend WCW, it's a very shallow experience, needs to finish before it's worth starting.

Anyway , I have heard that WCW is quite Generic ... So my vote goes to Bakuman by default ...

I don't understand why people seem to praise WCW so much. I found it frustratingly mediocre, not just the regular kind.

I've also tried Skip Beat and Bakuman, but neither caught me at the time. If I had to choose between the two now I'd probably want to compare Bakuman to Shirobako.

FMP is pretty good, but I've seen it.

I actually haven't seen much about Kingdom other than people whining about the CGI, so I'm vaguely interested in hearing more. But it doesn't look terribly inspired.

he was probably one edit and save away from getting your tag to work. He had to edit and save that post about 40 times to tag every one lol. on first post it tags 5 people and every edit and save it tags another 3 so it takes forever to tag everyone for the club but it is the only way to make it actually send out notifications. If we tag people with the code instead of having the forum change the @ + name into a tag it does not send out notifications
