16 pci lanes with 2 graphic cards and a wifi card?

Go to solution Solved by TheKDub,

Yes.

Worst case scenario one of the cards will run in 4x, and another in 8x.

I have a i5 4690k running 2 way crossfire and will soon have to move from ethernet to wifi.

will I be able to put in a wifi card and still run crossfire?

If I understand correctly, the little PCIe 1x slots are on a different controller than the full size PCIe slots.. You should be able to run the wifi card in a 1x slot without it making any changes to the GPUs in the other slots.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

a 6770 and a 5770

Yup, if they run at 4x you'll have zero bottlenecking and be 100% fine

I have that exact set up with 2 cards in sli. I put the WiFi card on the very bottom 16x slot which is controlled by the chipset.
