Ordered everything I need to build a custom keyboard a few days ago, and I just finished up my cad drawing for the baseplate :) sending it somewhere to get cut out tomorrow.

Nice, what size keyboard are you making? Feel free to ask some questions if you need to.

its a full size keyboard, but I switched the position of the number pad over to the left side of the keyboard instead of the right side. Also, thanks! will do :)

Know where I can buy cherry stabilizers? I can only find costar ones online.

edit: if i can't find them I'm just gonna use some normal cherry switches.

I think ortholinear has them. I have ordered switches and stabilizers from him in the past.

If you looking for plate mount you can get them from China as well. Same person who makes the dyesub PBT caps. Can't remember the name at the moment.

If you don't need spacebar or can bend your own wire you can get them off mouser as well you just need to know the part numbers.

The cowboy bebop keyboard looks SICK. I'm looking forward to seeing that finalised. Never made a keyboard myself and now I'm jealous. A side-question, what switches do you plan to use and where are you going to get them from ?

I was planning on using vintage blacks from the keyboard I got the space bar and enter from but I may end up using blues or greens I'm not really sure. As to where I get switches most I have used on my own stuff I have taken out of keyboards. Others I have bought from http://olkb.com/ because http://www.mechanicalkeyboards.com/ was out of the switches I needed at the time.

since I dont have any photos in this thread I will post some

Vintage blacks that's interesting. I would potentially be interested in replacing the browns on the special keys on my das keyboard 4 with greens in the future. Is that possible ?
