What is ClearMotion Rate?

I am debating between two TVs at the moment. After going to ABT and looking at them, I am looking at the following....

Sony 55" Black Ultra HD 4K LED 3D HDTV - XBR-55X850B

http://www.abt.com/product/79533/Sony-XBR55X850B.html

Samsung 55" Black UHD 4K LED Smart HDTV - UN55HU6950FXZA

http://www.abt.com/product/81786/Samsung-UN55HU6950FXZA.html

Right now, I am leaning towards the Sony due to its better colors. It just rubs me the right way.

What is the ClearMotion Rate? Both of these are 240, but there were others that were 960 or 1200. I've read that its the motion blur, so is that a good or bad thing? Do I want this or no? I tend to watch alot of sports (baseball, hockey, football, basketball) and movies. I am NOT planning to game on this TV.

Thanks for the help LTT community! It's greatly appreciated!

It's their weird fakery to create higher "refresh rate" and somehow reduve ghosting. It's a gimmick. Just go for the one with better colors.

Thanks @ilikemacandpc

I am leaning towards the Sony. Both great brands and have owned both in the past. Seemed to have the better color in the store.
