DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL new pc wont boot

recently Built my new rig 

asus maximus 7 gene

msi gtx 980 

i5 5690k

samsung 840 evo 250gb

seagate 2tb 

32gb kingston hyperx

 

 

Built my new machine and it was running amazingly for the past 2 weeks today i woke pc up from sleep mode got the 

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bsod and now PC wont turn on goes to black screen with flashing underscore 

 

currently testing ssd on separate machine using HDtune,

looks like you need to roll back drivers. and/or force update all drivers.

 

it's funny, normally this happens to me when i install new OSs on old old hardware. e.g; wifi card built for xp and i have win7 installed.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Try to pull out the power, and put it back in. See if it helps.

This error comes usually when there is problem in software or driver compatibility issue with hardware or operating system. 
Also this error comes when there is bed indexing unit in hard drive. 
You can solve this errors with following 2 methods. 
(1)When you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode. 
Then if you are able to enter in safe mode then uninstall driver or software which you installed recently and face this error. 
(2)If you are not able to enter in safe mode Then you need to fix error on hard drive.For that you need windows disk or recovery disk. 
Boot your computer with that disk 
For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 "del" key to enter in bios. 
Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom. 
Then save settings and exit bios. 
Insert windows disk in cd /dvd rom. 
Then it boot with that disk.Then you get this message "Press any key to boot from cd.." 
Then press any key. 
Then follow the procedure then enter in recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r" 
Then type "y" 
Then it fix error on hard drive. 
Then check if again you are not able to enter in windows then boot again and this time choose "R" option for repair previous windows " then it repairs old windows then it loads again old windows.

I had this problem and it turned out one of my memory dims was faulty if you have more then one try using one at a time i hope this helps.

I have just one thing to say, why the hell did you buy 32GB of ram? That's a total waste of money should've just bought an i7

 

and try just using either kit in dual channel first. you might have just got a DOA dimm

tried all sticks still no result luck thinking its windows corrupting itself or hdtune gave a false positive

gonna have to go find either my windows install usb or buy a dvd reader tomorrow

Have you tried clearing your CMOS?

To me it sounds like the boot sector might be corrupt. You could try a repair of the OS from the install media, then get your important files back, then do a clean install of the OS.

It a driver problem with graphics. Simply roll it back, and see if you can find a more stable driver for your GPU.

You do not know what he does. LTT computers run 32GB and even 64GB, and I don't hear you complaining about that?

That's because they need it, they edit videos and tons of other productivity apps. Meanwhile OP has an i5 and 32GB of ram if you were going to be editing videos getting an i5 and 32GB of RAM would be bonkers. An i7 and 16GB kit would've been much better.

 

Get your facts straight. You probably don't do any video editing or not familiar with it. Ignorance is such a bliss
