Check your clearances. Bigger is not better if it doesn't fit. The Be Quiets have a tendency to overhang the dimm slots.

The CM Hyper 212 EVO is rated for a much higher CFM so I'd go with that.  82.9 CFM max. > 55 CFM max.

Uh the facts are correct.  The CFM ratings I gave are legit.

That is not directly relevant to how efficiently a cooler will do it's job. There's also other factors to take in hand, such as heatsink size, in which this case, the BeQuiet offering dwarves the Hyper 212 EVO. At least in the pictures, it looks like such.

Static pressure > CFM

OP: That cooler is better but you're only looking at a 2-3 degree improvement.

BS!  I can definitely link certain coolers over time where CFM rating clearly indicated the heat sink could cool much better than something else.  As for static pressure > CFM I don't see anything related to static pressure mentioned in the description so I don't think I would be factoring that into the purchase.

1 or 2 degrees Celsius difference and if you did this test 1000 times it would probably be split in half as to which one wins.  I would go with the CM Hyper 212 EVO.  You are more likely to find this cooler at a more affordable price which is commented on in this article at the end. 138% performance per dollar for the CM cooler vs 100% for the beQuiet cooler.

If you don't think CFM is linked to good coolers then you are telling lies in this thread.

It cools 2-3 degrees better, all whilst having a much lower CFM rating. My point is that you don't just judge a cooler solely on its CFM rating.

It is better, but not by a mind-blowing amount.

.. and this is just one set of tests and the margin is so slim that if done again it could have the CM Hyper 212 EVO winning.

Yes? Elaborate on how the 212 EVO will come out on top in the end, I'm not quite catching on to what you're trying to say.
