Okay so I first saw this video on facebook and all the comments were anti-police, after watching the video I couldn't disagree more! I'm not sure if the man should have been arrested but shooting the dog in self defense, I feel, was okay! I know if a rottweiler was barking at me looking like it was going to attack, I would have shot a little earlier than the cops did! I'm a dog lover, I used to work with dogs at a boarding kennels! Post your opinions! :)

Warning: This video isn't for the light hearted!

I have two dogs that I love very much, but I feel like a lot of people will disagree with my opinion on this topic. The dog's death was entirely the owner's fault. He, as a responsible owner, should not have taken his dog out of the car and should have rolled up the windows. Another good idea (assuming the music was coming from the car) was to also turn off that loud music because it was interfering with the investigation. As for the cop actually shooting the dog, the cop should have never reached for the dogs collar. However, the main culprit here is the bad, irresponsible owner.

So you think the police were wrong? What would you have done in this scenario?

I would have maybe used pepper spray and held it down, I would have let it mauled me to death rather than shooting it. The worst thing is they didn't even kill the dog, they left it rolling around to die a slow and painful death.

its a good thing my countries patrol police are unarmed so when they approach a situation there a bit more thoughtful and don't just arrest random people because they can

Hmm I think youre in the minority of people who would rather be mauled ;) You have to remember the officers were in a panic state and most probably feared for their lives

A day before this happened my sister was picking up a fridge that she found on craigslist. At the house there was a stray dog that the homeowner put a leash on and tied it to a tree then called the police. So instead of animal control coming they sent a regular officer. My sister was outside but her kids were in the car that was parked in the driveway. The policeman arrived and the dog started to become nervous so the cop sprints toward the dog and the dog feels threatened and bites him. Then the cop puts 10 rounds into it without warning. In front of my nephews ages 2 and 5. So instead of calling animal control and having them deal with the stray some moron cop decides to use deadly force where it wasn't needed.

The mad did nothing illegal. After reading a few articles the area had no noise ordinances when it came to car radios. So he was in no way interfering. The dog wasn't that aggressive either.
