Hey guys, considering they cost the same here in Portugal, wich one should i get? I'll use it for OS, games and software only. I know the Samsung has 70GB more, but i'm asking this in a performance point of view.

Thanks a lot!  :D

The Samsung 840 performs better and is really reliable.

The only benefit from the Intel ssd is their outstanding reliability.

Eh just go for the samsung, they intel will perform a little bit better, but I don't think it's worth giving up 70gb for it. The real world difference between (performance) the two is probably close to nothing.

Both manufactures create there own Nand Flash so your safe with either. I'd go for the 840 because of the higher memory.

I could be wrong but I also thing Intel and Samsung create their own firmware and controllers. So those 2 companies your getting the cream of the crop. I think OCZ creates there own firmware and controller but not flash they get that from Samsung, but I could be wrong. Don't quote me take it with a grain of salt.

You are correct.

On the 335 and a lot of their other current consumer drives, yes, but on some of their older drives as well as their enterprise drives they use their own silicon for the controllers.
