Titan X power connectors

slightlyjaded

Okay... way too expensive. single slot (but it takes up 2/3 slots of space)

Anyone else notice that the pics have 1 6 pin, and 1 8 pin power connectors...?

well considering that this card is such a beast I wouldn't be surprised if it had 2 gpus in it.

but damn 3 freaking slots, guess i'd have to wait for waterblocks to come out

well the pics look like 2 or 2.5... that's an awfully slim profile for a titan.

@Mystic Mistro yeah it's gonna be the highest wait for a 980ti (if they release one) only devs can really take all that power to its max potential. But then again you might be a dev.

More than likely won't be a 980 Ti simply because there's no place in the market to fit it.

There's only one die on the TITAN X.

Only the TITAN Z. The TITAN X, Black and the original TITAN are single GPU cards.

So basically any nutjob that is capable of running 4 way sli..... yep that's way to expensive..... But my brother might get my 980, if the titan price is competitive...ish.

You're always limited to 4 individual GPUs in SLI.

Always? come on, you throw that gauntlet down before a bunch of tech weenies and see what happens. No you're not always limited to 4 GPU's. You're limited to 4 GPU's in any consumer grade system. There's always a workaround, it just might not be practical, or available.

oh for sure, Mod the bios and Nvidia software, then get a WS motherboard and ribbon All GPU´s

Daisy chain 2 1500w Power supplies and hope they dont kill your cards or each other.

Not to mention the risk of the MB frying itself.

B: By people far knowledgeable then 98% of the people around here?

B.... actually you're right, but a workstation build is usually where they start in the less demanding levels.

The more demanding levels, well how much money have you got, and how many years did you spend learning to code for this?
