ive recently built a new pc and i use a lg tv as my primary monitor (100 hz refresh rate). Even though ive connected to the tv via the graphic card it still displays 1920x1080 @ 60hz  (connection hdmi). can any one suggest why it is so and what can i do to get higher refresh rates??

cheers!!

Just to be clear, 100Hz TVs don't accept a 100Hz input. Instead they interpolate intermediate frames to effectively double a 50Hz input to 100Hz (as Lester suspected, but he wasn't sure). So you want 50Hz output from your graphics card.

I can't verify if this is true but it may be why you are having trouble.
