Need Photoshop CS6 Transparency Help

Go to solution Solved by Evan Owen,

It's finally fixed now :D I just took my PNG file and converted to an ICO file instead of BMP and the odd white highlighting of the icon went away.

I'm using Photoshop CS6 to create a program icon (.BMP) and I'm trying to make it a rasterized icon, but every time I save and apply the file there's transparent pixels that Windows reads as white pixels that appear to highlight my icon. I can simply flatten the image to get rid of the transparency but it de-rasterizes it.

My question is how do I keep the image rasterized while eliminating pixel transparency?

Is your rasterized layer at the back?

Is the background of the icon layer in-front deleted so you can see the rasterized layer?

Is there no layers in between?

Make sure you save as PNG.

It's a one layer document and has to be saved as BMP because it's for a desktop icon, Otherwise I'd use PNG.

Let it'll flatten automatically when you save it. If you use the layers until you save it stops you getting confused.
