Scrapyard Wars Followup Showdown

Slick

Technically, the budget should be 480$ CAD or 400$ USD. The builds in USD just completely blow away the Canadian counter-parts.

1. Budget & Location

$400USD

any stores in US/Canada

Cannot go over budget

do not count Mail in Rebate

2. Aim

Items must be new in box

Must be bought from a store, what store doesn't matter but shipping cost and taxes must be factored into the price

The goal of this post is to create the best computer from NIB parts from a store that we can in order to have it compete with the scrapyard wars computers

Must be a fully functioning computer with storage, a case... etc, but no OS required.

-UPDATED-

So a NIB version of the post I made?

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/310915-community-scrapyard-wars-300-cad-240-usd-gaming-pc/

NO RMA'S, SHIPPING INCLUDED, GOODNESS THATS HARD (Mines the best)

Once you put the IGPU and the GPU together using Mantle and crossfire you'll be rolling and the fast memory even though theres not much will help the IGPU and the PSU gets it done with like 68 watts to spare!!

Have you seen mine? also just because PCPP doesn't know the shipping cost for the parts doesn't make them free, though often times you can pickup which would be a good thing to double check.

The 6600k wont do hybrid crossfire with anything over a 7750

I'm just gonna assume NCIX US will give you free shipping, because Linus. I don't think Newegg chrages taxes, at least not in my state. Used 8GB since some games require more than 4GB, chose a case from a good brand, chose a PSU that came from a good brand and had some room for the overclocking.

Edit: Changed PSU, since the PSU in the last configuration had its price raised by $10.
Edit2: Changed case to the Core 1100 since Core 1000 got its price raised, and it's better anyway.

It's an interesting idea. Not nearly as interesting as scrapyard wars though. It would be cool to have scrapyard wars be a yearly thing. Scores from previous years could be included to show how much of an improvement gain the person was able to achieve.
