Hello!

I was over a friend's house the other day and this happened: We were streaming a movie from online (if that narrows anything down?) and this happened 2 times. The computer showed no signs of lag or malfunction. It just suddenly BSOD'd and rebooted with the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR and no other error indicators.

No idea what this is. I looked on Google and it said it was a hardware error but that doesn't really narrow it down.

Does anyone know what this error is or other ways of diagnosing it?

Hope you can help!

Thanks! :)

public static void main(String[] args){

     System.out.println("Hello, World!");

}

Hi TPS_REPORT.

I'd love to help you out. Is there any possibility that you noted down the error parameter of the BSOD? It would really help in diagnosing your problem. For more information, visit this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff557321(v=vs.85).aspx

Here is a list of things you can try to solve your problem:

1. Sometimes, Event Viewer can give some clues as to why the computer BSOD'd. Try having a look in there. Here is a guide in case you don't know how to get to Event Viewer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ph/windows-vista/open-event-viewer

2. Is there anything you recently installed, hardware or software that could have caused the BSOD? If this is the case, try uninstalling that program / driver and undoing the registry changes.

3. Is there a pending service pack that needs installing? If there is, remember to update to it.

4. Set the BIOS settings to default. Sometimes, if these settings are changed, it can cause BSODs. If there are any BIOS updates (check manufacturer's website), make sure you install them.

I wish you the best of luck getting to the bottom of your problem and hope I helped somewhat. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Unfortunately it caught me off guard and I didn't have a chance to write the parameter down.

Thanks for your help! I'll let you know if I have any more troubles! :)
