ROG maximus IV extreme vga led is on

Go to solution Solved by ThunderShark,

I've found a few other people with the same problem. One of them pressed the reset button and that worked for a little while. It might be the graphics card. Is there any way you can test the system with a different card or test the card in someone else's system (i.e. a friend's)? You'll probably have to contact asus about the problem.

I left my computer on for few hours, when i get back home my computer screen was black and nothing happened but my pc was runing, i tried to restart my pc still nothing all i now is that when my pc boots up i can hear windows welcome sound and skype as well.

At the beggining i was thinking that my video card is dead so I change it and i put another one in but the same thing..

So i open the side panel i notice that vga led is on, on the motherboard i tried to use different slots for video card but nothing....

Can someone help me please?!?!?!

press F8 on startup and then choose the boot at the low resolution option (either 640x480 or 800x600)

Probably bin it. If you purchased extended warranty then I would try and claim it and also if you have warranty left.
