MSI Afterburner not saving settings.

Go to solution Solved by Badger906,

if you're worried about having afterburner open for resource purposes it's already too late!!

just click apply and then click on a profile then save.

tick the box at the bottom that says run overclock at start up and then it runs in the back ground without you ever seeing it open.

So i am new to gpu overclocking using msi afterburner. I have used sapphire trixxx before but not afterburner. I seem to be having trouble figuring out why whenever i change the clock speed and close msi afterburner the gpu forgets what i set it to. I know with trixxx there was a setting to fix this but i cant find it for afterburner.

Here is my specs - http://www.overclock.net/lists/display/view/id/5297396

Make sure you click save in the bottom left I think. Also, I think you have to keep it open.

go into Catalyst Control Center and find AMD Overdrive, and enable that... It works for some but never did on my HD7770...

Is there not a way to have it not open to have the setting? Sapphire Trixxx never had me have it open all the time.

Afterburner only takes up 1.3MB of memory...

If you don't want it running then stick with Trixx?

Not sure if trixx will work with my xfx r9 290 but ill try it.
