you CAN play at 1080p 60fps on these if you're willing to compromise settings though. And a lot of people would prefer resolution and framerate over any level of AA or ambient occlusion.

Dat 320gb hdd tho xD

Yes thats true, but even at low setting in the time current gen consoles are the newest, I still think the ps4 is the winner. But lets not start a war here

I would prefer a ps4 to a 400 euro pc.

However my pc gobsmacks the ps4 and was 400 euros because i had some parts like case PSU and HDD already.

Yeah, and by that you save up about 100$ which can go towards the gpu/cpu

I had a phenom II plus a 5850 and all the parts you need.

I decided to buy a new pc part by part , first the gpu then the cpu and mobo.

The problem is that consoles can be had for $350.

With a budget of $350, it's difficult to get a GPU that outperforms the onboard Iris graphics anyway.

No one seems to go that low with these posts :D

If you buy a console, your budget can't be $350.

Because you will be paying big for games and $60 a year for online multiplayer(unless you only play F2p games on PS4, which isn't $350).

Even if you build an underpowered PC, you can still play vast majority of Source games maxxed out, and various emulators, and older PC games such as Skyrim(without the 4k textures or high-quality enb, obviously) at 60fps full HD.

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

A console is like buying an entry car with very expensive fuel.

The pc is like a hybrid thats very efficient.

You pay upfront for the efficiency but pay less on fuel over time.

Something like that.

Except PC does not need to pay upfront either, with option to upgrade.

If i wanted something just for gaming, i would get a console at that budget.
However, i use the PC for many other things, so for gaming i only have to spend some money for a GPU. If someone can't use a PC for general purposes and his budget is ~350, he should stick with the consoles.

PCs are so useful machines and you have to pay for it. Consoles are only for gaming and their value is pretty low imho. The have a place on the market though...

(this post might be very helpful for someone :) )

Sure I can. That's what I'm buying it for, that's what it costs.

I've looked around at PC's used as well. Nothing comes close to it for the same price. Most people still want $600 for their 4 year old system. And people pay it because there uneducated.

I wouldn't call CS:GO a AAA title. I find it odd that the reviewer didn't use those games in the review, but this one points out the stuttering issues with newer titles like Battlefield 4. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-pentium-g3258-review

Relatively I think would be an i3 or higher. The dual core is just struggin.

I play a console at a further distance than I play on a computer. Probably 4x. So the slight pixel drop isn't as big of a deal to me as if I were sitting right up against the screen.

Yes but I already own the ultrabook ;) I wouldn't sell it for something fatter and harder to carry around. Though I imagine it'll only be a couple years and they'll have sub 3lb gaming beasts.

I bought my Dell precision t3500: 8gb ram 750gb hard drive intel Xeon processor

and it cme installed with Windows 7 professional

and keyboard and mouse

and 22inch 1050p monitor

and a friend gave me his old graphics card for $300

if you want really good performance sell the monitor and get a gtx 750 ti pny 2gb oc edition and it is definitely worth the price

Simple math

Over a 4 year span

Pc: 1000e system + 15 games/year@ take 35e (avarage steam sales for example)= 3100e

Xbox one: 399e +15 games/year@60e +4 years live 240e = 4239e

Pc is cheaper by 1139e over 4 years ...

Let's agree to disagree

Deals like that are pretty rare, and honestly the console would probably give you more stable and better frame rates.

Haha, I don't think I have ever had a year where they put out 15 games I've wanted to play. Let alone own.

Live is $30/year if you grab it on sale.
