try optimizing with AMD Raptr, otherwise it sounds like the cpu is getting hammered.

are you running BF4 in high priority, also, is your CPU cores unparked? I got a good FPS increase in games when I unparked my cores.

Oh amd cpus how i love thee so much.

If you havent noticed your 290x is being bottleneck by your cpu.

It shouldn't be this bad, I know a lot of people who running dual 280x and some with dual 290's that still see next to no bottlenecking. Hell, I run Bf4 at 40FPS on ultra with a 7870 and a core 2 quad

i did but i  wnt online and i saw that it is not suppose to bottle neck to that extent, thats some heavy bottleneck

yeah but im unable to find out why is it bottlenecking to this extent.  do u think is the power enough ?

Try the newest drivers and see if that helps.

Could be a win 8 issue , that OS has some problems with some games.

What kind of display do you have? FYI, if you have a 60 Hz display, you wont get more than 60 fps.

Is it the 58 FPS thats bothersome or the 47 FPS figure?

Can you show us the graphical options menu from BF4?

I have an FX8350 with 2 r9 280x and have around a 100fps (i can't remember the number exactly, im away from home in another city right now), what i mean with this is that the Cpuis not bottlenecking, and i think that you increased scaling over a 100, where it should be.

edit: i forgot to mention that BF4 uses all of my cores at around 70% to 60%.

Main rig. Updated :D CPU: FX8350 @stock Cooler: Corsair h110 Motherboard: Ga-990fxa-ud5 Memory: Corsair Vengance 8Gigs 1866Mhz GPU: MSI GTX 970 SLI (blower cooler)  PSU: Cooler Master Silent pro 850w SSD: Corsair Force GT 60Gb HDD: WD 500 Caviar blue Case: Thermaltake core V71 Fan controler: NZXT Sentry

yes but to the left of the options, near the bottom there is an option called scaling, and it shouldn`t be set over 100% =D

Try unparking your CPU http://www.coderbag.com/programming-c/disable-cpu-core-parking-utility then see if it gets better. Also run the game in high priority.

tried unparking but still the problem persists

Yeah that guy is just being an assclown. I have seen countless benchmarks of no bottle-necking with  that cpu in bf4.
