Why gigabyte dont put the vrm in spec why?

The DS3p is a weak 4+1 motherboard i really don't recommend it for an 8 core FX CPU...the UD3p is a good budget 8+2 motherboard but if you can't find it look for the others i've mentionned they are pretty much the cheapest boards available that are good enough to support and overclock an FX 8 core CPU.

And for the processor just get the normal FX-8320...the FX-8320e is an underclocked and undervolted CPU that is a lower bin..you have more chance to get a better overclocker in the FX-8320 and it should not cost you more...undervolt and underclock the cpu yourself if you are after lower power consumption instead of better performance.

what about the

ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0

no, that's a cheap 4+1 board as well...the ''non LE'' which is also a 4 phase board but much better overall cause at least the vrm's assembly is heatsinked can support an FX-6300 fairly well though i would go for something better with an FX 8 core.

Have you looked how much an i5-4430 or i5-4440 and a cheap H81 or B85 motherboard would run you?

Cause that if you're a gamer would be much better overall.

What is the power phase on this motherboard ?

it's a 6+2 power phase motherboard and everything is properly heatsinked..the board also has cool features such as support for SLI.

Full review of the board found here:

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_970_gaming_motherboard_review,1.html

I've seen results and it's defenetly good enough for an FX 8 core CPU overclock.

But can it handle a fx-8320 125 w

YES OF COURSE IT CAN OTHERWISE THE 22 or so other people who recommended you to go with this board wouldn't have done so INCLUDING ME TWICE!

So last question is a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P with a 8+2 power phase with no vrm heatsinks better or the msi gaming 970 6+2 power phase with heatsing for gaming and overclocking?

The Msi 970 Gaming is totaly fine, atleast it has cpu smart protection.

The vrm's and mosfets on this board will run a littlebit hot, wenn overclocking.

But it seems like it handles a 4.7GHz OC totaly fine without throttle.

more info: http://www.overclock.net/t/1501416/msi-970-gaming-anyone

All other Msi GA-970A-G43 / G45 / G46 boards are awfull.
