Actually, the taxes are worst in Vancouver. Taxes I think are at 12%. Provincial Sales Tax (7%) + Goods & Services Tax (5%).

It's a tie between my monitor and my 480 GB SSD.  Both were around $350.

 

I also spent around $500 on my video cards collectively when I bought them, but individually they were around $225.

If we include monitors, then it's definitely that. Acer B286HK, got it on Black Friday for $350, normally around $550.
