Thoughts On The Zalman Z11 / Plus

Loe

I have seen a few builds here of the Zalman Z11. I really like the look of it but am sceptical about it because it looks like cable management isn't that good.

Any response would be appreciated :)

Edit: How good is the cable management in the case?

You will need to squeeze down the back panel, but it does hide a non-modular 500W power supply.  Excuse my language, but it has a SHIT TON of tie down points and all the cut outs are in the right places.

Available from 3pm to Midnight Eastern Time (GMT-5). (>'-')> <('-'<) ^(' - ')^ <('-'<) (>'-')> You can't stop the kirby dance.

Alright that makes me more comfortable :) Still don't like the look of that PCIe cable though but that is just me

Looks pretty good. I was going to buy it or the more expensive CM Storm enforcer. I went for the enforcer because I preferred the way all the hard drive trays were arranged and stuff. It's a good case though. Although I don't know anyone who actually uses the hard drive cross flow intake things

Feel free to message me if you want to chat!

It's a good case with plenty of cable management opportunities.

you just need to try harder than you would with some other cases that have it laid out for you with cable grommets and 2" of space in the back of the case, maskot showed you his example, look at his build log,his Z11 build lights up the UV reactive cables,it looks really awesome.

mine isn't as grand but the cable management is about on par with his.

I do disagree with him saying you need to squeeze down the back panel, though that could be his cable extensions.my back panel goes on about as easily as my front panel.V8OzWhe.jpg

and heres the back

I guess they are just a little gimmick

you should look through the build logs,I've seen a few awesome builds.

one where somebody did a custom watercooling loop in the Z11. (can't find it,may have been lost in the move to the new forum)

one with carbon fiber wrapped components, looks awesome.

another where they had pretty damn good cable management and the HDD cage removed

there was this one,no build log though

B6578C3A-9318-40A2-AE35-9C83797481FE-489

and the one with UV reactive lighting by maskot whose thread I linked in my original post

there's lots of potential in this case, you just have to try hard enough.

Yeah I saw a couple and that is what got me interested into this case, but when I was thinking about it again I couldn't find them.

Personally I don't really like this case, when I was shopping for a temporary replacement case, I cam across this one. Wasn't really what I liked, I just found it to be too small on the inside.

What kind of system did you have on the inside?

Wasn't even my system, someone had bought it, and it was being assembled, it had some ATX board in it, and it was almost full.
