Filco's new Cherry MX keyboard With Bluetooth connectivity

ahhming

majestouch-bt-1.jpg
Filco has just introduced a new line of Cherry MX-based Majestouch keyboards with Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.
it is offered with Cherry MX blue, brown, black, and red switches.

The keyboard features both Bluetooth and a detachable USB cord (with what looks like a Mini USB connector). When unplugged, the keyboard runs off two AA batteries that provide "about 6 months" of usage time at five hours per day.

the keyboard will retail for ¥17,480—or $146—when it comes out in Japan on December 18.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

i'd use this if i was in the market for a keyboard simply because of how clean it looks. imagine no cord, without a stupid looking keyboard.

and that battery life though. whoah.

might get hate for this, but i love chicklet keys over any other kind. never used a mech, keyboard, but at work our 8 button numpad thing, uses cherry mx blacks. perfer the feel of chicklet.

That AA battery life.

I'd like to see some reviews when they are available.

Waiting for wifi version.

Also, shouldn't it be able to recharge while on Micro USB? That would have been a great feature.

At first glance, I though, "This was out in Jan 2013  ...."

And then I saw Bluetooth 3.0, and I though, "Oh, they released a new version?? OK..."

I nearly mixed it up with a older model....

How bad would the input lag be on bluetooth?

Not that bad. At work we have an office based Bluetooth kB & m set and there's almost no noticeable lag. What's more annoying is the stupid thing having to be paired again every day because it forgot overnight.

They have a 60% version of this already, I couldn't imagine using a wireless full-size keyboard though. Just seems impractical, 60% is appropriate IMO.

Why is everyone so crazy about backlit keyboards? It's not like you look at your keyboard when you type, or do you??

No backlight, no deal.

Same here.

In the meantime, back to using the K800.   :D

Would be nice to have a secondary battery in case battery is low, and shuts off light first.
