The world's first underground park in the New York City borough of Manhattan that would be located under the eastbound roadway of Delancey Street on the Lower East Side, adjacent to the Essex Street station (J M Z trains).

to save space, because the only park in new york is central park and there isnt room anywhere in the city for a normal park

Nope, but I know where it is, that terminal is historic.

 

This is cool and sad at the same time. If I ever go I'll send pictures.

I mean Im sure they will upgrade it but, that is going to cost a pretty penny. And perhaps its not as big of deal as I think it is but on the West coast we fear about earthquakes and public places.

Seems pretty cool. Although I hope they do some serious repair work for peace of mind.

The terminal is actually in great condition, the NYTM does tours to the terminal and it's structurally sound, the I-beams look great considering 116 years of being there. The BMT does some great construction.
