turn it off, dry it as much as you can and don't turn it on for a long time until the water evaporates by itself...that's pretty much all i can think of but chances are if it turned of by itself, somethings fried :/

Leave it unplugged for a few days so the board doesn't get any power. When power goes through circuits with water on top, the destruction process happens much much quicker.

Do any boards detect moisture and automatically shut off as a counter measure?

Doesn't really help, as electronics are electronics. My rig is just as susceptible to moisture as yours.

also one other thing, does thermal compound dry? because im just using the stock one right now and i dont really wanna buy more to replace it if it drys in the 3 day period

and also do i really need to use 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean my cpu/heatsink off? because i have no idea where to get that.

Cheap stuff can dry out. But generally, it shouldn't.

you can use plastic wrap as a temporary fix for the thermal compound..

so its okay if its dry?

Thermal paste should be kind of gooey. But as long as your temps are within a safe range, I wouldn't worry about it.

Well you could pull it all apart and invert your MB/PSU/GPU on to a table..'cause you should check it all over before you start it back up...
