Does Linus have new lighting? The video looks different

Just color correction

The newer videos look warmer. Is someone else doing the white balance? New camera? What is going on?

Lighting maybe, better image quality could the reason too. The FT05 video is 1080p, the Nepton video is 4k.

I saw that they also got a Panasonic GH4 too. Wow, so many cameras.

I watched the Luke Video on my phone and there it is also less warmer.

Yeah linus said something about receiving a new lighting kit in the mail in one of the previous wan shows and that was the last I head of that...

Yeah we know bur we have diff editors on different rigs and diff monitors and YouTube compression taking a steaming dump on whatever work we do anyway so we don't stress about it overmuch

Just put a black and white filter on your video then you won't have to worry about colour correction at all!

Well, either really, but it was meant as a joke.

Dear god, can you imagine if they did a video using Instagram filters?

That would be really awesome if there would be such filter. I already hate doing white balance and now I am getting a camera that is a bit more professional than my cheese camcorder. For the next week I will be watching "how to correctly adjust a camera" on youtube.

My girlfriend pointed out to me that the Mac video had some weird colors on his hands and neck. I saw it on both monitors and my phones as well as her phone. Is it over exposure or too much color saturation?

Might be a compression issue.

There's Magic Bullet Looks:

http://www.redgiant.com/products/all/magic-bullet-looks/

The new Adobe CC (Premiere and After Effects) have new LUT's that are easily applied to change the look. It's really for RAW footage and specific cameras, but there are film stocks and such you can use with anything.

Have you guys considered that he might have edited the video on the iMac perhaps (would explain the color pop)? If he hasn't already, he should (or get one of the editors to do so) as that's the purpose in mind for most Apple PCs.
