1900$ PC Build Gaming/Editing

RockiLocky

One thing I (and anyone with more sense than money) recommend is bang for buck. You could get a WD Black if you want, you could even change the case, but you won't get much for it. With the budget you set, and your need for reliability, maybe switch for WD Blacks thats up to you. But I'd keep the N600 because it's great value, accompanies the CM 240m perfectly.

Is X99 as good/better then Z97 in gaming wise too. cause im doing gaming alot too as it says?

No, it's not worth it because DDR4 RAM is so freaking expensive.

How much rendering are you going to be doing? Like how many minutes of videos/week?

350min of video matireal per week and about 20hours programming per week

Next to that how is X99 regardless of the price in gaming next to Z97?

You won't get extra performance from 2011-3 CPU's, it will speed up the rendering but I don't think that stuff is in your budget.

Not better, not worse. I am led to believe by the likes of Star Citizen that true multicore optimised gaming is coming however. And since you list that as a game to play, I figured "why not". If you only wanted a gaming PC I would have gone with Z97, but you intend to do more so I took that into consideration.

I supose you will be encoding 4K now or eventually, 5960X is the processor to get.

AIO Cooler you might prefer H100i because of the 4 fans controller built-in or you don't this fan controller and want the Superior cooling of H105

Corsair RM/AXi are the best power supply for your needs for many reasons including silent operation when you work with your editiing software specially for sound, the PSU fan will turn on when you will start the rendering process since your rig would use more watts from it

Use the pre-applied thermal of the AIO, you can get few degrees lower if you use highest quality thermal paste but you have to apply it in the ''perfect'' way to get those few degrees less, if you don't your temp will be higher.

Getting a motherboard with a good built-in audio chip is a good thing.

Best RAM are Corsair Dominator Platnium, the speed don't matter on gaming but for rendering it does a lot so get the highest ram speed you can get that make sense.

SSDs Samsung 850 PRO

Hard drives I would say WD RED for storage but if you gonna rendering stuff from your mechanical hard drives, get Seagate SSHD for performance.

The 5960x is hugely expensive. I wouldn't recommend it unless the op is doing rendering as a job. The 5820K is more than capable.

The H100i can have issues with Windows 8.1 because of the Link software, although it can be worked around. The H105 is a good option though.

The Corsair Ax/AXi are both very good psu's although a little expensive. I would avoid the RM as you can usually get the far superior EVGA Supernova G2 for the same sort of price.

The Corsair Dominator Ram again is hugely expensive. I would just go with some G.Skill or similar.

The Samsung 850 pro is a fast SSD, but it isn't very good value for money. The Samsung Evo or Crucial MX100 are better value.

A SSHD is pretty pointless if you have a separate SSD/HDD.

Don't go X99, wtf? It's way too expensive.

If you go Z97 you can get SLI 970's which is way more important than the other stuff.

X99-S if you can get it, Pro if you can't. All X99 boards support SLI. Not sure i understood the premise of "...that supports SLI and the rest dont but 3was and 4way". You want SLI in the future obviously, any X99 board would support it. But the X99-S looks the biz and costs less than the Deluxe.

I decided to go for X99 beacuse it will make my life way easier for rendering. And i can somehow "future proof" abit longer with it then Z97. Also with DX12 the possibility of multi threated games coming out is getting higher and higher

For Z97 2 x 8GB is better as it is dual channel. On X99 it is Quad channel, so 4 x 4GB is better. You have 8 Ram sockets, so you could add another 4 x 4GB if you ever needed it.
