GTX970 - Do I really need stuff like 1440p, 144hz for gaming?

Tafel_Kafel

Hi, I'm looking for a good monitor to pair with GTX 970 STRIX.

Now, do I really need 144hz? I doubt that I will be getting that much FPS.

1440p? I don't think that I will have stable 60.

I just want a good monitor that will do the job.

Any suggestions? A second monitor would be nice, too. (But if yes, it must be the same one, cuz OCD)

Uh, try not to go over 350$

a 970 should be able to do a decent job at 1440p

or 120hz at 1080p in many games

If not just get a 1080p IPS monitor
