Is 3D mark score for my system too low? 2.5k dollar system

bughtoo

Hello,

Recently i wanted to see what is mine system capable of doing so i downloaded 3D Mark professional edition and run Fire Strike Extreme.

I am giving you my system, only GPUs are a little bit OC. Everything else is as it was when i bought it and installed.

My System:

Intel I7 4790k 4GHz - CM V8 GTS

Asus Maximus VII Hero

Geil 2x 8gb Red 2133 MHz

2-way R9 290X Saphire CF OC 1350 MHz

2tb HDD Seagate Baraccuda

240gb Kingston SSDNOW

EVGA Supernova 1000W 80+ Platinum

CM HAF-X 942

Monitor: BENQ GW2765HT 2550 x 1440 resolution.

My score varies every time but avarage is around 8700.

post-123350-0-24230500-1412787712_thumb.

Is that good? Or should it be higher?

Thanks in advance

Compare it to other scores online.  Should be easy enough.

Not that easy when 3D mark is not official :)

mh. i get around 5000 points on my single 780 in extreme so you should actually get around 10k as your cards are heavily OC'ed.

EDIT: actually, i googled it and all 290x CF results were around 8.5-9k. you could be a little higher but not by much so its ok! :)

take your OC off then run it and use that as a baseline also lets you see if oc causes a problem

No, its easy, you just don't like to use the search tool known as google.

3dmark's website, go to results, go to search.  Choose 290x, choose 2x card setup, enjoy.

3dmark firestrike extreme results show most people getting anywhere from 9k-11k.  1440P might be giving you some lower scores.

Maybe he wanted some personal input, not just a page of numbers. It's almost like that's what forums are for...

We can tell him anything we want about the statistics, it doesn't change the facts though. That's why they're personal opinions.
