4K Gaming - Acer Gsync monitor

What would be an optimal build for 4K gaming around the Acer G-sync monitor that is about to come about?

Is 6 cores optimal on the CPU?

I'm in the US.

6 Cores sounds great, looking at the 5820k I assume?  I would be. If you are getting that monitor a system with 3 970's would probably be perfect for 4k at this point. But that's all I can say without a budget.

I would not recommend 4k yet!!! at least not for competition games hard to get high frames.

maybe Rog Swift 1440p Instead if you don't mind 27" else wait for BenQ and their upcoming 1080p 24" G sync.

4k is fine if you wanna play games for EYE Candy and if you do not care about low frames.

What about 2 980s and 5820k?

4K gaming without sacrifices isn't possible yet. 1440p is also better for productivity and in Windows.
