I would enjoy help on my first PC build (Please help idk what I'm doing)

As I said I know nothing, I use a mac normally but I really want to play games... so... I'm doing this

Information that will help you help me:

I will mostly use this rig for gaming but some content creation may slip into my life

I'm more of a causal gamer but I do want it to look and run beautifully at like 3440 x 1440 maybe?

I don't want to spend more than $2000-$2500 (not including a monitor, and I've already got mouse, keyboard, etc.)

I also don't want to worry about upgrading too much, I want it to work for some years

I tweaked Linus's compact guide a bit

in the end this what I came up with:

Again thank you for any help/tips/advise/recommendations  :D

Everything looks fine if you are going to be rendering and what not, for gaming this is overkill though.. i would always highly advise getting a 3rd party cooler and you could probably go with a lower wattage PSU

Yes Yes Legalize Gay Marriage sure, but have you ever considered Weaponizing Gay?

@PokémonTrainerFour no it doesn't have to be a mATX but I like the idea of it being small for going laning/moving it, what do I gain from going bigger? (better air flow?)

@wcreek why is the Z79 better (I don't understand the mobo stuff that well)?

Thank you guys I wasn't excepting that quick of a response  :)

basically the advantages of going bigger are fitting in more hardware and better air flow

Z97 is better because it's newish and it's able to overclock (you can't on H series boards). It also usually supports better hardware configurations (SLI)
