i have bose 3-2-1 atm would a 20cm sub sony hifi be bassier

Considering you mention a specific manufacturer and size, I'm assuming you have the sub you mention. If that's the case, why not plug it in and give it a shot?

 

Judge for yourself. If you like the results, continue with it plugged in, if you don't like the results, unplug it and consider yourself done :)

Just by speaker size, I'd say that the Sony system would be louder and punchier... Not too sure how well it will play the highs (and I'm not going to test it in one of the shops here with no intention to buy)...

thats what i thought, you could just say i think im going for one in a different store ;)

 

I've had some encounters with Bose speaker systems... They're not that exceptional (imo) to warrant such a price tag... Sony, on the other hand, offers some pretty fun sounding systems... I've got an old 4kW Sony component system (ca. 2003, one of the first ones to have optical in) and it still sounds awesome to this day...
