Another piece of interesting software has been released along with the new drivers.

It's called AMD CleanUninstall Utility, which removes any & all catalyst driver files to allow for a clean install of newer drivers without causing any compatibility issues.

I can't instal the driver for my HD 7970 for some reason. Every time I try to install 13.1, it says that there was a warning message while the setup was running, and I can't open Catalyst either since it says that it does not exist. I tried reinstalling the driver several times, even tried to completely sweep the driver, but still no change.

Going back to 12.8 was no problem what so ever.

AMD has really gotten their act together with their drivers. They had a stigma of sucking for a long while.
