megabytes or megabits?

He said Virgin Media, and they have a plan that offers a 152 Megabit/second connection.

Why can't we all have fiber?

Because the lovely guys at BT are only interested in 'economically viable' areas consisting of a majority of people under the age of 65 (so no villages) and not too far from other fibre-enabled areas or exchanges so that cable runs are short so that they make healthy profits because they clearly need all that money and can't afford to take any small losses because they are the biggest UK broadband provider (woo monopolies, and woo run-on sentences) :D

Of course, if you're not in the UK then blame your government or Comcast (US) or both xD

I got that too. I get around 160! But this week, it's been 100 and only 50% of the youtube videos even load up. Every other site works, just youtube, it is frustrating
