Best headset/headphones for gaming 100-150$

Sup everyone?! Im about to get a new headset for my ps4! Is it true that you can just buy an adapater wich have one 3.5 audio jack and one 3.5 mic jack? If it is then i can use whatever headset i want or what? Anyways, my TB P11's broke like a month ago and now i have to get a new one! Is it best to get a headphone with a modmic, or just get a gaming headset? Im not a audiophile really but i still want some great sound and bass! I listen to much Melodic Dubstep, chillstep and progressive house so bass is important! I also play alot of Battlefield! I hope you understand, but if you don't, just ask me what i mean.. The HyperX cloud comes with a Dual 3.5mm to single 3.5mm jack adapter, for Phones and looks like it'll work with the PS4 as well.
